.feast.

It had been a lovely sunny sunday-funday. Started the day with a big feast with my family. Rebung masak lemak, siput sedut goreng, kari daging, tomyam, begedil, kentang cili, fishball soup, sayur kailan and did i mention rebung masak lemak? Its my favorite dish in the whole wide world! Nothing can come between me and my rebung masak lemak.

So as i was saying, we were pretty well fed overall. After stuffing ourselves yummy, we headed off to our usual Sunday shopping. My eldest brother got himself a lovely hand-made mat while mom enjoyed browsing around looking at bunga pahar. Yea, she has a thang with bunga pahar. She made it herself for my siblings' wedding to which we are always proud of. She jokingly said 'I love this design. I can make it myself. Maybe i can make a whole set, put it in the gerobok (cupboard) and wait ten years before we can use 'em for your wedding, adik.' Funny mom.

Went to visit my cousin who lived nearby. Again, had another big feast. We were served with hot tea, fried mee and lotsa kuih. I am blessed with mom, sisters, sister-in-laws, aunts and cousins who really knows how to cook as poor yours truly is such a terrible chef. Its one of the many reasons why i love family gathering as i can eat delicious home-made foods and have up to four servings without worrying about having to pay. :P

Tuesday, had been a pretty long day. Had to do some re-shooting for a client. Dont mind really despite my time wasted away. After all, anything worth having takes a little sacrifice. But Alhamdullilah, managed to get everything (temper excluded heh) under control and ended the evening with a great dinner at Asia Cafe and my usual java chip, grande, with cream and extra chip later on in Taipan. Good food and a great company.

Right. Off to watch Marie Antoinette now.

.ibah and her large nose.

well, there's more! check out my photoblog. as usual.

My beloved kembara, Ped had gone through a lot. She has been with me through my ups and downs. Been to the hell and back. She's my everything, my ride, my world, my heart, my soul. Here's a clip of our (yes, ped and mine) song, Ready,Steady, Go by one of my favorite band L'Arc en ~ciel- as my tribute to her.

Love you so much, Ped *hugs*

.rush and relax.

Well, what do you know? Its Thursday again. Practically a few more days before I hit another boring Thursday. I've been up and about as of late but its all usual. Its been a rough ride, to be frank, and all the rushing up here and there had left me exhausted.

Yesterday was madness and i remember telling Zatyl that i should be really patient with the people around me for fear that i might be able to snap and scoff at them. But yea i did managed to cool my head off on my way to the meeting in Putrajaya eventhough the f**king traffic really drove me f**king crazy. Pardon my language, please. Twas tough driving through a rampage. It looked like a huge group of wild animals scampering on the road.

My client love the brochure design so that had pretty much made the day. By the end of the meeting, my mood was doing pretty okay though i looked terribly wasted with my hair went haywire and the dark circles under my eyes looked as if it has developed itself to a larger scale.

Spent a quiet, peaceful evening at Eka's afterwards. Watched a movie and listened to him playing his oud. The sound of it was really soothing. After a hard days of labor, all you wanna do is relax and just enjoy the rest of the day.

A line from the movie;

'Marriage is an important part of getting ahead. It lets people know you're not a homo. A married guy seems more stable. People see the ring, they think, "At least somebody can stand the son of a bitch." Ladies see the ring, they know immediately that you must have some cash, and your cock must work.'

And right now, i'm listening to Diana Krall's Love Letters, enjoying another great evening in the comfort of my home in Cheras. My nieces Hasya and Qishi lying around the bed with me, reading and coloring.

.i miss my long hair.

found these pictures in my old dusty folder. and its in colors! just look at my eye brow..neatly done. and i look younger and chubbier too. i miss my old face! haha!

300 and i gotta win this battle.

Had the whole week off the internet. There's not much to blog about anyway. Life has been on a full speed. Think, happiness isnt a constant thing, (nor should it be) and there'll be days when sadness came knocking at my door. I was a bit confused with pretty much everything at the moment. I've tried my best not to crack but i did, gradually. Cried a little, but told myself things would be okay. Need to toughen up and start to think of a new game plan. They say, trying to figure out what's really going on in someone else's head is a fool's game. I am no fool and therefore i need to snap myself back into reality.

Last Saturday had been a good day. Pretty much filled up with personal activities. I had the chance to see Candid Syndrome in action, as Ira and her boyfriend had a photo session done at their studio. So lalala I tagged along together with Azrul and took the chance to take a look around at the white room. We envy the place. Had to say, they offer a pretty good service there. Wonder when can i have one of my own.

Twas fun to see the lovebirds enjoying themselves posing like 'orang dulu-dulu'. Am happy for them both. In fact am very happy for all my friends who will be getting married this year. As for me, at my current state, i need to build a strong trust in the word 'relationship' first before commiting myself to someone. I've learnt a thing or two. And honestly, my radar can spot those guys who i really want to hang out with and those who doesnt from miles away.

Later in the evening, hang out with Eka who managed to break free from his tied up schedule. We decided to meet at Starbucks. Had a lovely conversation over java chip with Eka being a great story teller. I found it dreamy listening to him talking about Portland. Thats when he brought up the subject of Frank Miller and his graphic novel Battle of Thermopylae that snapped me out of my wit.

'I wanna watch the movie!' i screamed.

'Lets go watch it then!' he said.

'Yeahh lets!' says me.

'When?'

'Now!'

So we jumped on the idea and headed off to the nearest GSC at IOI mall and catch a 9.30pm show. Surprised to see the mall full of people to which is not quite normal. We had plenty of time before the movie starts so we decided to walk God-knows-where round and round. First, we tried to find the graphic novel at the bookstore but couldnt find one. Eka wanted to check out the Yamaha Music shop so off we went and as we entered the store we were greeted by the friendly owner Mark who kindly showed us around. Looking at all the musical instruments really make me wanna roll myself into some music classes. Eka picked up a bass guitar and started to go 'weuuw weuuw weuuw' with it. He really impressed Mark and I both. I fancy the digital drum set which costs a total sum of frickkin' RM4K. It was soooooooooooooo nice. notice the many many 'o's ?

I could say, by now, with some approval from my fellow movie freak friends that 300 is one of the best movie ever. Its about 300 Spartans goes to war to fight against the evil Persians. The cinematography is super fantastic, the colors and visuals are amazing! And they carefully pick the character which makes the movie completely complete. Gerard Butler is certainly powerful. This movie just blew me away! Felt like giving them a standing ovation but that would probably embarass Eka. Hey, go watch it if you havent! Strongly recommended!

Emissary: This is madness!
Leonidas: Madness? This is Sparta!

-Eka and me doing what we do best, strike a pose!-

Anyways, thats about it. I have nothing to say about my Sunday as i was just lazying around at Ira's crib the whole day. Ah, i really need some good mood and spirit to do my work right now. I have a very heavy cranky kinda feeling in my chest that i need to get rid off.

Feel free to browse around my updated photoblog.

*yawn*

.she shoots! she scores!.

I was out for a two days photoshoot with my client, Mr Selva during the weekends. Twas tiring whats with the early wake up, the long walk, the long wait to get some shots of birds and ducks and the boat-ride to get a shot of the putrajaya lake. but it was all really fun and educational.

The first day of assignment started off as early as 7am. I dont like the get-up process but i wouldnt miss the chance to see bits of putrajaya early in the morning. Selva took me for breakfast first, and i found our conversation over teh tarik as pretty interesting where we talked about religions and belief. He reminded me of my good friend, Rahman: 45 years old, married with two kids, knowledgeable and sarcastic. He said 'I am sorry to say this, Kuraibah. But i personally think that there are some Malay guys who still see Malay ladies as a sex object rather than a human being. Its all lust and no love. They do not respect them at all.'

With everything that has been going on smoothly with me, (Alhamdullilah, syukur) it has make me see how far i've come, where i want to go and what to do next. Being someone who gets excited easily, I just need to hold my cards close and keep a straight face, no matter what's in my hand.

Met Muzzo after the second day shoot. Its great to have a quiet evening with him after so long of not being able to do so. Well, actually I had to make it up for him as I had to cancel our earlier luncheon. Accompanied him to find a jacket where he end up buying a lovely black Armani jacket. 'Hate you, Ib for making me buy it.' he said. Ha ha. I know he will loves me more for that. The jacket is f**king beautiful and it made him look good!

I've updated my photoblog. Played around with a 50mm lense. Thanks to Eka who gave me the courage to try it. So, feel free to browse around and look at the pictures! :)

.meet eka.

ekaputra :)

went out for a drink with lovely eka at the oldtown kopitiam in cyber. eka who grew up in portland is now living here in KL (or Subang to be exact) for the past coupla years. he takes great photos and owns a nassstyyy old volvo that screams the word 'c.o.o.l'.

and he is pretty much a cool guy himself. all classic and beautiful. i met eka online but since the world is not getting any larger, he happens to be a good friend to a guy i keep running into for the past two years, who turns out to be a good friend to my ex-classmate in limkokwing and both of them are friends to my ex-boyfriend's good friend. gosh. and yes, small world indeed. eka is a johorian too, (surprise surprise) whose family originally from pontian.

'does my accent bothers you?' he says.

'well, can u speak malay?' replied me.

'sikit-sikit boleh.'

cute.

we talked mainly on photography. this guy knows hell a lot so he kindly spilled some beans and taught me some skills and tricks. we swap lense and flash and just went bonkers with it! thank you eka! we should go out for a photoshoot together some time around!
