Oh gosh, i am so sleepy right now at the office. Had sahur with MN, Matt, Naufal and his friend in Bangsar earlier on and we chatted up till 5am. I agreed to have sahur with Matt since the first day of puasa but since I was sick all the time, I only manage to belanja him this morning. Had roti planta and milo tarik, just enough to survive the day.
Idulfitri is making her way come Wednesday. Are you in the mood yet?
I am feeling festive thinking of ketupat and kuih raya. The day passed by pretty quickly, its already Friday and I havent pack up for my raya hols. There's still plenty of chores to do before I go back to my hometown - that if i don't end up playing Sims at home.
I was browsing around the shopping mall the other day when this conversation took place:
Me: Tumpang tanya, bazaar ni bukak sampai bila ya?
Sales: We're going to be here till raya's eve, miss.
Me: Oh, thats great than I shall come by around again *looking at the watch as its already too late to shop*
Sales: Ah, dont you think that we're gonna give you discount just because it's the eve! Kitorang naikkan harga lagi ada lah!
Me: *pause* I dont think i'm gonna come again.
And then I coldly left while the salesgirl tried to grab my arm and apologize. I admit I was stunned by her abrupt reply.
1- I dont think its a right thing to say to a customer.
2- By saying so, she's implying that her customer is a cheapskate bastard. And that customer is me.
3- And me no like-y rude salesgirl, yo!
4- If its a joke, then she was too funny I forgot to laugh.
In case if you're wondering, she was selling RM65 - RM95 songkok.
I am so glad i'm gonna have a long raya hols this year. Will spend a great amount of time with my family and friends. It has been a great Ramadhan despite the sickness and I couldn't wait to celebrate raya with my loved ones.
I have a feeling this is going to be my last raya carrying the title 'miss'.
Salam Idulfitri, everyone. Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
XOXO
p/s a special shout out to my dear little bro, Acal who will be coming home to Malaysia for raya 'Bro! Happy hari raya! Maaf zahir batin! Nanti lets lepak before you go back to Qatar!' (this darling of mine bought me a beautiful fabric to make baju kurung for this year. Sweetheart, i tell you)

My body is finally punishing me. I've fallen sick for the past few weeks. I've taken the meds, see the doc, switch docs, do whatever i could to make the fever go away - but i'm not sure if i am getting better or worse. I'm still having the cramps but I dont feel weak like yesterday, which is good so that i can resume to my regular office work in happier mood.
I keep cancelling iftar dates with my friends. Surprisingly, I hang out with Eka and Nadiah more often than usual. I guess his working hours for this ramadhan month has granted us the time. We did catch up and gossip over sandwiches yesterday. The normal stuff friends do when they hang out. Had chicken crisp sandwich with extra eggs. Delicious but didnt quite feed my appetite.
I missed the Bijou Bazaar again even though I told Tuty that I might be coming. Just dont feel like shopping. Have to save up for other important stuff.
I hope to go out with my girlfriends before Syawal comes. So sweet for them to wait till I get better. Thank you so much for those who always calls in and check up on me. Get well soon wishes bring good vibes.
And sorry if i didnt buzz anyone during my visit to Penang (sorry Azrul). I was busy touring the town with MN and his mom, if you know what I mean. I went shopping for kebaya around town and brought home with me four pairs of 'em - three out of four are vintage with great fabric and cutting. Its great to shop when you have local Penang-ites with you coz things seems to get better and cheaper. Stopped by at the second hand book shop at the Chow Rasta Market. I love Penang for their street names; they sound very.....unique and exotic? Armenian Street, Buckingham Lane, Magazine Road and Chow Rasta means 'between four lanes' by the way. Oh, didnt manage to get anything from the bookshop though. Too little time, too little time.
Took the opportunity to hit hot spots for good food, specially introduced by MN's mom. On my last day there, we went to a sushi place in Tanjung Tokong for iftar. Its a hawker's joint and the sushi stall is owned by her good friend; Saiful - who used to be a chef in one of the hotel in Penang. Ordered a plate with crabmeat fried rice. The sushi is decently nice with good service, I recommend you to head down here if you happen to stop by in Tanjung Tokong.
I really need to look after my well-being for the future. Will start with:
- please myself before others
- get rid of toxic friends
- eating healthy meals
- exercise
All this after raya. And i learnt that sleeping during the day is the real disease.
It's gonna be a long week ahead. The office is pretty quiet without Zik around. He went back to Singapore already; heard that he'll be heading to Sydney in December to continue his study. I sure miss him a lot now and so is everyone at the office.
Happy monday ya'll!
along lebuh armenian.
On my second visit to Penang, i fell in love again with this lively place. I want to write more but maybe later when this loopy feeling has vanish.
Screw blogskins...i used the good 'ol way of doing things using the new blogger :P
- make my own header that i like
- use my own background that i like
- interface and easy layout that i like
and its my own :P
hurrah!
I want something different for my blog.
Totally hate the old look and decided to revert everything back to the classic template.
And used blogskin.
I just dont want anything similar with everybody else's.
I have to see, if this template will give everyone a big trouble opening it, i might have to switch it back again.

Everything is pretty slow considering that its Eid Mubarak. Not much of photography activity thats for sure.
I was feeling a bit under the weather yesterday so i text-ed MN and filed my complaints.
'I miss to do my stuff,'
'Okay then we'll hang out at starbucks and you can surf, aite?'
'No, no i just want to sketch.'

I miss coloring.
So he bought me a box of watercolor, two brushes and a palette.
And here is the result of yesterday's 'it's coloring time!'

Inspired by Simona Dimitri - Alfie Kitty Makes A Friend.
Yay! I'm a happy kid again! I am pretty suck at coloring and painting but it sure was fun having my fingers and face and clothes splotched with colors! Not a masterpiece but it's more than enough to keep myself occupied.
MN would say 'Oh, she's in her zone' and leave me to my course of doing things. Well, the normal dinner-movie-talk can get pretty boring after awhile. I'm just glad that MN is always supportive. There's just so much things to do! Painting, ballroom dancing, sculpting, sewing, making dolls; the only thing that i dont seem to quite have right now is time. But that's just an old lame excuse. Hehe.
MN tried his hand on coloring too and he blushed like a kid when I complimented his artwork. LOL.
Other than this, we've been enjoying a quiet breakfast. Hit a few local restaurants where people normally wouldn't go. I told Eka the other day during our breakfasting; that there's no point to go through the hassle of being stuck in the crazy traffic only to eat at a no-seat, cramp-y and noisy place. Bazaar ramadhan? By the time we get there, the trays are often empty. Yesterday, MN and I were at a small little restaurant in DP; there was only us and another couple. Pretty laidback; we breakfast in ease and had our tummy happy.
I'm going to Penang this weekend for a two-days visit. Gonna bake cookies with Momma Bear and dig secrets about MN from her. It's gonna be fun, i'm sure.
I hope the week is going along nicely for you so far!
