.movie marathon.

this week has been a little bit mundane with me getting stuck with work and nothing else. but yesternight was one of those days where spontaneity works its wonders. instead of the normal dinner and movie, my best friends and i decided to skip that for a change.

spent the night away doing dvd marathon at my humble place over keropok and mineral water. one of the movie we watched was the science of sleep; a cardboard and cellophane fantasy movie by michel gondry. sweeetly dreamy. my best friend and i nearly went crazy looking at the cardboard imagination of city at the background, the silly looking 'aristotle' cd, the cute white puffy clouds and boats and forest. its very enchanting! i totally love the bathtub and sink full of white and blue cellophane. magical, i'm telling you.

the sets and the creation is simply simply wonderful. a true feast for the eye.

now, if you excuse my short entry. i wanna close my eyes and dream about the bathtub full of white and blue cellophane. can't seem to get the image out of my head yet.

I can never get enough of science of sleep. I really like Stephanie and I think the movie is much better than Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The art direction amuses me and his naivety in his dreams affects me in some way (good way in that sense). His innocence somehow justify his dreams. And the chemistry between him and stephanie, especially when he fixed her horse and it became alive.
