I couldn’t believe its already early July when it still feels like February with all the chilly and balmy weather outside. I remembered Che Din’s text message; ‘I wish I had a maid so that I can leave the house just this moment. Too many to clear up. But the weather is so good. I just love it.’
There’s no trace of dark clouds. I hope the weather stays like this.
I had one of the most enjoyable weekend with a lot of celebrations, great news and happy toasts. Think, I needed it so badly after being kept hostile at the office for days. Meetings, discussions, brainstorming sessions; my brain pleaded ‘may I have a rest, please?’
After much frustration on the Singapore International Photography Festival, another great opportunity approached. One of my self-portrait photos will be published and exhibited in Berlin. But that’s all I have to say about it. Just wish me lots of luck on this *cross fingers and grins*
Friday, drove myself nuts working on a deadline. I was a little girl again, drawing kiddy illustrations for a milk product. Right after work, dashed off to Phileo Damansara but before I got to the place, one very happy news ‘running’ towards me in a manner of a text message. I got a new job!
*ehem* And yours truly would be doing copywriting. Hurrahh!
Urbanscapes. I’ve never felt so gung-ho with artsy-fartsy fest – went there mainly for KLickr 24hours long photos and to see what they are selling at the marketplace (I was looking for cool-looking shades). Arrived around 2ish and oh dear, twas so hot I was sweating buckets! I expected the vendor areas to be, at least, nicely located. They were stuffy and packed whats with the boiling weather and the number of girls in funky costumes (did I just say costume?) crashing in. Gosh. I survived for 20minutes before running back into the gallery; that was after I got my hand on a gorgeous red handbag and the ONE pair of shades i want, all for rm30 by the way. Everyone was complaining about the cramp-y place and heat. Terrible!
I missed a few screenings. But I do not mind at all as I missed it for the people I love. A few friends I’ve not met for a long time dropped by to Urbanscapes to say hello. Twas so so good to meet them again! Marshee ran to hug me with a big smile and JY + Naufal have to buy tickets to get in. Teehee, thank YOU!
A big special thanks to Putri who came to me and said ‘I’m your fan!’ Such a sweetheart! So I tasted fame for 10minutes while we chatted up and she sheepishly asked ‘can I take photos with you?’
Maybe now I should start to write questions like ‘ibah zakaria, how do you feel being famous?’ in my blog and answer them myself or or wikipedia-ing my name every 5minutes. Some people do that ya know. Really pushing the envelope :P
Urgh, I seriously need to clear out my emails. And I need tostada chips real bad.
