Supah!

Had the happiest weekend.

Great Diwali photowalk - me happy with the shots
Great photoshoot - client is happy with the shots
Great shopping - taukeh is happy counting money behind the counter

Was seen stalking people with my camera on Saturday along Jalan Masjid India and Brickfields. Had a small family gathering on Sunday, okay not quite small as we had aunts and uncles and cousins from all over but twas a merry one with lots of great food - ketupat, rendang, sambal kacang, kuah lodeh, nasi minyak and ayam masak merah, laksa, lemang....shall I continue?

Managed to catch MPH's Warehouse Sale before the gath. Was there for about half an hour as I was in a bit of a hurry. Got this three with a lovely price:

1- The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night Time - Mark Haddon
2- A Spot of Bother - Mark Haddon
3- The Life And Times of A Thunderbolt Kid - Bill Bryson

I'm starting with the first one. Planning to find the talking horse and the sad girl and the village under the sea by Haddon.

Where the heck did it go?

I am not too sure where my two weeks have been – it seems like I was really busy with stuff but I cant really recall what went on for the past fourteen days since I last wrote.

Have too many things to think about now that life is back to it’s busy track. I did spend my time wisely right after raya hols; finish up with this and catching up with friends. But most of the time, I just plonked my ass in bed in the name of saving up.

Went to Bijou Bazaar last Saturday with my girlfriends – wait did I just said saving up? Okay that went the drain when I bought these two pairs of vintage looking sling bags and an off-shoulder top; everything for RM70! I really need a sling bag for my roadtrip and its really cool to finally replace my old one. I love Bijou! Everything is frikkin' cheap that I did felt suffocated browsing around the bazaar. There was just tooooo many stuff to pick on!

Sunday was a chill too. Finally got the chance to do my raya round to my close friends’ which I missed last year due to work. Subang, Rawang and back to KL. It was a great fun to finally have the chance to really sit down and chill with all of them. I was a bit flattered when one of my friend was all excited to cook for us - delicious bolognaise thats really worth the time driving all the way to Rawang!

Wow, looks like I'm gonna have yet another ridiculously crazy weekends ahead! Raya gatherings, birthday party, open houses…but most importantly, MN and I have to settle one very significant task this month.

Maybe, just maybe, I will spill the details once we have a confirmation on the matter.

A plain rude salesgirl and her RM95 songkok

Oh gosh, i am so sleepy right now at the office. Had sahur with MN, Matt, Naufal and his friend in Bangsar earlier on and we chatted up till 5am. I agreed to have sahur with Matt since the first day of puasa but since I was sick all the time, I only manage to belanja him this morning. Had roti planta and milo tarik, just enough to survive the day.

Idulfitri is making her way come Wednesday. Are you in the mood yet?

I am feeling festive thinking of ketupat and kuih raya. The day passed by pretty quickly, its already Friday and I havent pack up for my raya hols. There's still plenty of chores to do before I go back to my hometown - that if i don't end up playing Sims at home.

I was browsing around the shopping mall the other day when this conversation took place:

Me: Tumpang tanya, bazaar ni bukak sampai bila ya?
Sales: We're going to be here till raya's eve, miss.
Me: Oh, thats great than I shall come by around again *looking at the watch as its already too late to shop*
Sales: Ah, dont you think that we're gonna give you discount just because it's the eve! Kitorang naikkan harga lagi ada lah!
Me: *pause* I dont think i'm gonna come again.

And then I coldly left while the salesgirl tried to grab my arm and apologize. I admit I was stunned by her abrupt reply.

1- I dont think its a right thing to say to a customer.
2- By saying so, she's implying that her customer is a cheapskate bastard. And that customer is me.
3- And me no like-y rude salesgirl, yo!
4- If its a joke, then she was too funny I forgot to laugh.

In case if you're wondering, she was selling RM65 - RM95 songkok.

I am so glad i'm gonna have a long raya hols this year. Will spend a great amount of time with my family and friends. It has been a great Ramadhan despite the sickness and I couldn't wait to celebrate raya with my loved ones.

I have a feeling this is going to be my last raya carrying the title 'miss'.

Salam Idulfitri, everyone. Maaf Zahir dan Batin.
XOXO

p/s a special shout out to my dear little bro, Acal who will be coming home to Malaysia for raya 'Bro! Happy hari raya! Maaf zahir batin! Nanti lets lepak before you go back to Qatar!' (this darling of mine bought me a beautiful fabric to make baju kurung for this year. Sweetheart, i tell you)
